A well-established fruit and vegetable wholesaler based at the Rocklea Markets in Brisbane is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver / Storeperson to support daily operations. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys early starts, physical work, and providing excellent service to hospitality businesses across South East Queensland.
This casual role offers consistent shifts with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver / Storeperson, your daily duties may include:
- Deliver fresh fruit and vegetable orders to restaurants, cafés, hotels, and other hospitality customers.
- Safely load and unload produce into delivery vehicles.
- Pack, sort, and inspect fruit, vegetables, and herbs to maintain quality standards.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including restocking cold rooms.
- Help prepare delivery vehicles for daily routes.
- Carry out general warehouse housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
- Work closely with the warehouse and delivery team to ensure timely order fulfillment.
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in delivery driving, warehousing, or the fresh produce industry.
- A valid Australian Open C Class driver’s licence (MR licence is an advantage).
- A safe and clean driving record.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform regular heavy lifting.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following will be considered an advantage:
- Experience working at Rocklea Markets.
- Forklift licence.
- Previous experience handling fresh fruit and vegetables.
Work Schedule
- Casual employment
- Approximately 3 to 5 shifts per week
- Shifts available Monday through Sunday
- Early morning start around 3:00 AM
- Typical finish around midday
